Obituary of Thomas John Einbecker
EINBECKER, Thomas John, 87, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 16, 2014, in Tucson, AZ. Tom was born in Chicago on October 18, 1926, to the late Henry and Mildred Einbecker. He is survived by his wife, Joann, of Tucson; son, Roger (Nancy), of Aurora, IL; daughter, Linda Hanes (Brian), of New Mexico; grandchildren, Kelly and Brett, both of Aurora, IL; and brother, Richard, of Pensacola, FL. He was preceded in death by son, James. Tom was a veteran of the US Navy and a graduate of Lafayette College, where he participated in football, track and studied engineering. Tom's career was primarily in the food processing industry, where he designed and managed construction of food processing plants in the US and Europe. He was a jazz lover, an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing golf with family and friends. He was the number one supporter of the track careers of his sons and grandson. He was a lover of greyhounds, having adopted several former race dogs and volunteering at the rescue centers. Services will be private.
