Obituary of Donald L. Halbert

Donald L. Halbert,born August 1, 1945, loving father, devoted husband and caring grandfather, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, with his wife and his children, by his side. He is preceded in death by parents, Roy Bert and Mary Halbert, and brothers, Kenny, Charles and Everett. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra; children: Tamisa Rowland (Robert), Donovan Halbert (Julie), Twila Brookshier (Randall), Tarrell Halbert (Lynne); grandchildren: David, Shaughnessey, Colton, Amanda, Nicholas, Draven and Jace; siblings: Arlene Maynard, Dorothy Chamblain (Lloyd), Clifford Halbert (Pam), Rose Halbert, Helen Gravette (Steve); and many extended family members. He worked as a water well driller in Tucson for over 40 years for A.A. McDaniel and Weber. He will be fondly remembered for his love of family, hunting, his gregarious nature and kind smile. He was old school, helping anyone in need and always standing by his word. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at U.M.C. 4NE and NW for their compassion and care.
