Obituary of Alicia Jeanne Gonzalez

Alicia Jeanne Gonzalez August 30, 1963 - November 13, 2013 Alicia passed away November 13, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her father, Fred Gonzalez, her sister, Lori (Gonzalez) Walker, her brother, David Gonzalez, her two nieces, Lorelei and Julianne, and most importantly her son, Anthony. She grew up in Torrance, attending West High School, and was active in choir and drama. She graduated with a BS in Nursing from the University of Southern California. She worked in the infant special care unit of Children's Hospital Los Angeles, caring for the sickest babies until they passed on. She also lived in Rancho Mirage and had a small business with her Mom. Most recently, she lived in Tucson, Arizona. She was very proud of her son, who enjoys math, science, movie making, and playing the saxophone in his high school band. We anticipate great things from this college-bound honors student. The last few years were focused on raising Anthony as a single Mom. She was so fortunate to have great helpers in her life--both family, such as Anthony's Uncle Daniel and Grandpa Luis, and friends, such as Melba, Regina, and Anna. In lieu of flowers and cards, the family asks that you do something towards improving your health, encourage others to make good choices, and pray for Anthony so that he can heal from this loss and live a productive & happy life.
