Obituary of Ted Lee Eazer
Ted Lee Eazer. Ted died on November 8, 2013, after a courageous three-month battle with Cancer. He is survived by his best friend, Debra; son, Justin; daughter, Cassandra (Ed); and amazing granddaughters, Shania Alexandria, Sienna Grace, Colbie Jo, and six-week old, Kelsie Jane. His girls enjoyed adventures, forts, bone collecting, bike rides, and tree swings at Papa's cabin. He is also survived by his sisters, Eve (Dwayne), Susan, and his brothers, Gerry (Kim), Dave (Jackie); and four nieces and two nephews. Ted dedicated his professional life to health care in many different capacities. He began as a respiratory therapist at TMC, while he earned his MBA. He went on to become VP of affiliate operations at TMC, where he was able to use his fluent language skills to manage clinics in Mexico. His career included CEO of Palo Verde Behavioral Health, Practice Administrator for Arizona Oncology, and CEO of Neuro Sciences. He had planned to finish his career with Barrow Neurosurgical Associates as their Executive Director. He was looking forward to this challenge when cancer stopped this prestigious opportunity. Many thanks to Dr. Swart and the staff at AOA. Ted worked hard and played even harder! He rode in Tucson's very first El Tour in 1983 and rode in many subsequent El Tours, often placing in the gold category. Ted was an accomplished runner who participated in a marathon and multiple triathlons. He was a skilled pilot who had a love for flying passed onto him by his father. He was a certified sail boat captain who sailed the waters off the coast of San Diego and Mexico. He was a white water rafter, certified scuba diver, expert snow skier, show-off water skier, a talented musician, and loved riding his motorcycle in Happy Jack. His most proud accomplishments were his mountain-climbing expeditions. He climbed Mt Rainier, Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, and the 14ers in Colorado. "When I think of Papa, I think of mountains And the lover trees. How he would lift me up onto the swing and tell me the story of the lover trees. Leaning on each other forever" -Shania Eazer. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel. Brunch to follow at Tucson Racquet Club.
