Obituary of Mary-Lou Palmer
Mary-Lou Palmer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, left us on September 30, 2013, after a long and beautiful life. She was born August 28, 1920, in Allentown, PA, to John Paul and Jimmy (Mary Belle) Jones. She married Dick Palmer on December 28, 1942, and recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. She lived in Cleveland, Ohio, until 1954, when she and family moved to Tucson. She was a woman before her times and held a degree in Architecture, volunteered for many organizations including Cragin Elementary, Head Start, Sunday school, was a docent at the Desert Museum for 35 years. She designed mechanical engineering systems with her husband. She is survived by her loving husband, five children, Nancy, Robin, Anne, Jodie, Jim, their spouses, grand- and great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Services Friday, October 25, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Philips in the Hills with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity in her name would make her smile.
