Obituary of R. Mead Almond
R. Mead Almond Mead passed gently on September 19, 2013. He was born in Wichita, KS, on April 1, 1927, and graduated from U of Washington, in 1951, in Civil Eng. He started his career in Denver at Stearns Rogers and retired in 1992 from Mt. States, Tucson. Mead was handsome, a WWII Vet, sang in a quartet, enjoyed traveling, bowling, golfing and sailing. He loved friends and life but mostly his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie Jeanne Fleming; children, Bradley, Linda Fitzsimmons (Kevin), Lorine Cobb and Jennine; grandchildren, Michael, Patrick and Justin. Celebration of life will be held at St. Paul's Methodist Church, 8051 E. Broadway, on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. Reception immediately following. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
