Obituary of Robert T. Morrison

Robert T. Morrison, 95, passed away August 22, 2013, in Tucson, AZ, under the care of family and Casa de la Luz Hospice. Dad wanted to be remembered for his 23-year career as an aerospace engineer, receiving accolades for work on the Apollo Moon Landing and Space Shuttle programs. After retirement he directed the Crystal Cathedral's New Hope Counseling Center in Garden Grove, CA. He traveled extensively and remained curious. Family and friends will most remember him as a good, kind man of integrity who continued to participate in life despite physical decline. "Alive After 85" was a series of vignettes written with his partner of eight years, Eleanor Reynolds. Survived by children, Linda Popelka (Tucson), Allan (Eileen) Morrison (Keyes, CA) and Janis (Jim) Blankenship (Tucson); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by wife of 62 years, Callie Louise Morrison. A Memorial Service will be held at the Country Club of La Cholla, 8700 N. La Cholla, Tucson, on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel.
